Birmingham City University in the UK traces its roots back more than 175 years. It grew out of five individual colleges which came together to form one institution and today, it has more than 26,000 students from 100 countries studying on its courses.
Birmingham City University (BCU) unveiled the newest chapter in its history in 2020 when it opened the doors of its UAE branch campus in Ras Al Khaimah. The campus has been established under licence by the RAKEZ authority. In the first year, students at BCU UAE will study on a range of eight different top-up courses. From September 2021, a full suite of courses will become available.
The mission of the University is rooted in its desire to support individual personal transformation for its students –and this will be reflected in the quality of education for students who enroll at BCU UAE, just as it is for those students who enrol in the UK.
The University has an enviable reputation for providing quality, practice-based education in a professional and friendly environment, and this will translate to the UAE campus.
Our staff and student communities are defined by our core values, which outline who we are as a University and how we will work with each other. Our core values are excellence, people focused, partnership working, fairness, and integrity.
